Release date: 30 July 2009
Story
The story happens in the year 1609. Kala Bhairava (Ram Charan Teja) is the protector/cheif guard of Udayghad kingdom. Mitra (Kajal Agarwal) – the heir princess is in love with him. But there is a bad relative of the king who wants to marry her. Sher Khan (Srihari) plans to invade Udayghad. In the process ensued, all of them die. These four people take rebirth after 400 years in the contemporary era. Harsha (Ram Charan Teja) is a race biker. He falls in love with Indu (Kajal Agarwal). And a bad guy called Raghuveer is after her. The rest of the story is all about how they trace themselves back to the past and settle the unfinished business.
Artists Performance
Ram Charan Teja: Ram Charan’s performance in his debut film Chiruta is like a show reel of what he is capable of doing. In this movie, he gets an opportunity to do some real good performance and he performs them convincingly with effortless ease. And he had gone through tremendous physical toil in this film as it involves horse riding, sword fighting, dances and many more. His dance in Bangaru Kodipetta after the completion of Chiranjeevi’s appearance is stunning. He is gifted with a good voice and he should fine tune it further to come up with pristine Telugu diction.
Kajal Agarwal: Kajal Agarwal is the surprise pack of this movie. She never looked so gorgeous and lovely in her earlier movies. She is overwhelming in this movie. Soumya who dubbed her voice came up with fabulous job in the first half where heroine’s naughty and is in love. However, she needs to come up with better dubbing for emotional scenes and serious episodes..
Others: Chiranjeevi did a special appearance in Bangaru Kodi Petta remix song. Srihari has relatively small screen presence. But his role is extremely powerful. He is excellent as Share Khan and his get-up and dialogue delivery is superb. And his Srikakulam dialect in the second half is very nice. The guy who did the role of villain has sharp features and he is adequate. Rao Ramesh is excellent in the role of Aghora. His voice and body language is wonderful. Sameer is good as the deputy of Srihari. Sunil and Brahmanandam are adequate. Mumaith Khan danced with Ram Charan Teja in Bangaru Kodi Petta. Kim Sharma did another item song. One wonders what Saloni is doing in this movie?
Technical departments
Story - screenplay - directon: Story of
The following three episodes are visually extraordinary1. The opening sequence.
The following commercial payoffs will work big time
2. The shot where hero and heroine go to Bhairava to perform poojas.
3. The shot involving of elevating camera on top angle between two pillars in flashback episode. 1. White Chunni thread (just like the thread of
The following scenes will create an impact:
2. Picking up four important characters from the past and get them closer in the current time.
3. Ending the movie from where it started in the opening episode (usage of same weapons, location, sentiment etc)
4. Aghora tells villain how to recognize the hero. And the same symptoms occur during 1. The horse coming back to help the sinking hero.
The following scenes are mediocre:
2. Kill 100 people episode (1. The basis of heroine misunderstanding hero is too flimsy.
Other departments: Rajamouli should be appreciated for giving due credit to all his technicians by dedicating a full-song to them during the end titles of the movie. Watching that was fun. Songs scored by MM Keeravani are little disappointing when you listen to them on the stereo. But they are good on screen with visuals. Background music (a combined effort of Keeravani and Kalyani Malik) is excellent. Cinematography by Senthil Kumar is very good. It is extremely difficult to recreate the era of 400 years old and art direction by Ravinder is splendid. Fights composed by Peter Hynes are excellent. Dialogues by Ratnam are good. Styling by Rama Rajamouli is very good and you can see chic colors in the costumes worn by the lead pair in abroad song. Editing is good. Visual effects are nice. So is digital intermediate. But at the same time, there seem to be inconsistency in visuals throughout the movie. Some of the visuals are excellent and some of the visuals are good and some other are mediocre. Visuals are the results of combined effort of cinematographer, art director, visual effects department, DI team and film processing lab. One can see inconsistency in the postproduction of the movie. Production values of Geeta Arts are impressive and it is one of the biggest spent movie of Telugu film industry.
2. Srihari’s car colliding with chopper looks comical in the serious fight of climax. .
Analysis: Opening episode of the movie is superb. First half of the movie is nice and second half is decent. The tempo goes down right after the flashback episode as it’s everybody’s guess that what follows is a predictable climax. The plus points of the movie are Ram Charan Teja, novel subject of rebirth, flashback episode, grandeur and commercial pay offs. On the flipside, there is tremendous scope for improvement in the second half. On a whole, Magadheera might not be a great film. But it is a good entertainer with nicely packed commercial elements and grandeur. Go and watch it in a theatre near you with nice projection and good sound system.
Tailpiece: There is uncanny resemblance to Arundhati and Magadheera stories. Both these

Oye! Movie Review...
Director : Anand Ranga
Music Director : Yuvanshankar Raja
Producer : D.V.V. Danayya
Starring : Siddharth, Shyamili, Sunil, Ali, Napoleon, Pradeep Rawat, M.S. Narayana, Tanikella Bharani...
Beautiful! Oye is a beautiful piece of cinema. If Erich Segal were to make his Love Story in Telugu, he would have made it like Oye. The trick with Oye is the diverse range of
What is it about : “Oye” is how Sandhya (Shamili) calls Uday (Siddharth) when she first meets him in a pub and asks him for tissue papers. Sandhya is a typical middle class girl that you find in small towns. She is purposeful, pragmatic, and has a disciplinarian view of life. Uday is an exact opposite. He is rich, spoilt and lives for the minute. As fate would have it Uday meets Sandhya and he falls for her totally and whole heartedly. Director Anand Ranga could have continued it and made it a happy love story. But right in the beginning he confesses that he was, in making this movie, heavily inspired by Erich Segal’s “Love Story.” So do not go to this movie expecting Uday and Sandhya to ride into a cinematic and happy ending. Instead go to this movie expecting the unexpected. The first 40 minutes rock! Totally!! Yuvan Shankar Raja’s music is a blast. This phase of the movie is about Uday wooing Sandhya. The second 40 minutes is the phase where Sandhya reciprocates and accepts his love. The pace slows down a bit but only when compared to the 1st phase. Then 10 minutes and through to the interval the director introduces an interesting twist into the story. Not to worry. No fears about tears. Instead the director displays a nice cinematic touch and takes us along with Uday and Sandhya through their trip from Vizag to Kasi. I am not going to reveal the story here. But suffice to say that this 30 minutes of the movie is really cool. The editing, photography and the 4th song of the movie are in this section. And they jell like a dream. And as the lead pair return home to Vizag, the climax begins. It ends the way the hero and heroine always preferred it to end – short and sweet.
What is Good: Siddarth, and Shamili are terrific. Siddharth’s acting is effortless and the guy has
What is bad: Nothing much really, except that the heavy doses of sentiment needed much more than stale comedy dished out by Sunil. Ali provides relief but it is way too inadequate. Late in the first half, and midway in the second half the movie slows down. The movie is a trifle lengthy but that semes to be the trend these days!
Me Thinks:
Tailpiece: Where are the Telugu actors in the movie. Siddharth and Shamili are from Kollywood and Mollywood respectively. Napoleon also is from Kollywood. Music director is a Tamilian. What is happening in Tollywood? Where are our actors and technicians?

Review
Story
Dhruv (Manoj Manchu) is on a world tour along with his friends and he is about to go to Singapore from Malaysia. Harika (Harika aka Payal Ghosh) is a Telugu girl doing masters in Malaysia and she is going to India to have a look at a prospective groom. Dhruv falls in love at first sight with Harika when he sees her in airport. But he has only two hours to make her fall in love with him. The rest of the story is all about how he succeeds in it. Telugu Movie Reviews
Manoj Manchu is different in this movie. He put on bit of weight and made sure that his dimples are always showing up. Payal Ghosh (Harika) is adequate as heroine. Sunita’s dubbing for her is good. Janardhan is very good and he has got nice diction and dialogue delivery. Tamim is like a character in comic book. He is extremely good with comedy and his body language is hilarious. Kalpika is cute with a big framed body. The chemistry between Tamim and Kalpika is very well established. She is extremely natural. Brahmanandam provided comedy in a few scenes. Daniel is adequate.
Technical Side:
Story of
Background music by Mahesh Shankar is excellent.
Final Analysis:
The initial 15 minutes of the movie might give you a wrong impression. The movie is good in the first half from the time the airport episode starts. There is lag and dillydallying in the second half. The climax gets better, but it should have been tighter. The plus points of the film are interesting premise, music and class comedy. On the flip side, the director should have made second half more interesting. Movie lacks pace. On a whole, Prayanam is a different film that caters to multiplex crowds.

They plan to meet in Hyderabad but Gopi is mistaken for a communist as he is wearing a red shirt and is locked up in police station for taking part in a protest rally.
Gopi then plans to meet Gopika in Polavaram. He sets out from Bhadracham but is attacked by some robbers. They steal his bag and hit him on his had teeth sticks and throw him into the river Godavari. Gopika agrees and the marriage is finalized. Just before the marriage is performed, some goons once again attack Gopi and hit him on the head. The injuries make Gopi to recollect his past. Sadly Gopi realizes that it is too late and he does not reveal his real identity to Gopika. Gopi’s blind mother learns about the truth and she tells everyone the truth and the film finally ends with Gopi and Gopika coming together.
Performance:
Kamalini Mukherjee plays the kind hearted doctor quite well. She in a way continues her doctor act from Gamyam. Kamalini looks good and she does justice to her role.
Venu play a singer and he is okay in his role. For a change, Venu does not go all out as a comic hero but plays a much serious role. Venu also carries his role with dignity.
Geetnajali as Venu’s blind mother is okay. Jayalalitha plays Kamalini’s mother and she goes about her job as per the requirements of the script. Krishna Bhagawan tries to evoke some laughter but fails. Sana and others are okay.
Music is okay. The film has been

Evaraina Epudaina Review
Director : Marthand K Shankar
Music Director : Mani Sharma
Producer : M. Saravanan
What it’s all about?
The film Evaraina Epudaina is all about a young boy who falls in love with a girl. He does not know how to woo her and tries all kinds of gimmicks, some funny and some not so funny.
The plot:
Varun Sandesh is a happy go lucky guy without a care in the world. He has finished
Vimala is in complete contrast to the hero. While the hero is a fit for nothing vagabond, she is sort of an angel figure. So how do the two opposite sides meet and fall in love? For this, the director embarks upon a very unfair method. The hero is shown doing many things that no one would really approve of. In a way, the hero is shown doing many cruel acts and all this in the name of heroism!
The hero’s plans backfire and the heroine begins to hate him for this. The rest of the story is how the hero manages to bring about a change of heart in the heroine.
The
Varun Sandesh is convincing in the role of a vagabond type guy. His careless attitude is supposed to be cool and macho. The heroine Vimala Raman is not exactly hot. She is just average in looks and acting. May be some other heroine would have jelled with Varun better.
Rama Prabha does a decent job. Giri Babu is okay. Kota is routine, Surekha Vani and Radha Kumari play guest roles. Ali manages to evoke some laughter. Venu Madhav is loud while Brahmanandam appears in a cameo towards the end.
The bottom line
Evaraina Epudaina is not an entertainer in the strict sense. There is not much action and the
